Champion Tessie af Misapotanien

‘Tessie’

Tessie in Denmark

Whilst still in Denmark Bent and Anni Aggersbol very kindly took her to shows.  Where as well as winning her classes she also went BIV (best in variety) .  As an adult just before she came to England she was awarded two CAC (challenge certificates) and so she only needed one more to be made up to champion.

She received her third CAC at the

Garden of England Cat club International Show   Worthing 10th August 2008

Tessie af Misapotanien was bred by Bent and Anni Aggersbol in Greve, Denmark.

I needed an unrelated queen in order to continue with my breeding plans.  Caroline and I were particular interested in looking for queens with Edison af Misapotanien (who is the grandfather of  Azzurro, the stud we share) in their pedigree.

Caroline found Steinberg's Burmilla Alexandra a grand daughter, who arrived in England in August 2007.  We contacted Bent to see if he had any kittens with Edison in the near background and luckily he had just such a litter from his queen, IC Sweet Miracles Bella (Bella), who is  a daughter of Edison. Just what we were looking for.

Bent was contacted again and arrangements were made with him to keep Tessie for six months after she was vaccinated for Rabies (this is normally done in Denmark as a standard vaccination) and of course she would need a pet passport (also standard in Denmark as most breeders who also show travel throughout Europe).  When the time came Bent agreed to bring her to England by road, a long journey of over 1.000 km through Germany, Belgium and France and finally though the Cannel Tunnel to Kent where I was living at the time.

Like all my cats Tessie has a sweet gentle nature which I know with the right stud she is passing on to all her kittens

Tessie has said good bye to her kittens and has now had a well deserved rest.  She is current visiting with Frilford Merry Monarch, a beautiful blue Burmese gentleman.  If all goes to plan she should have kittens some time in December.
